From Wildfires to Wildflowers. Long before it was known as Altadena, the hills and fields of Tovaangar are blanketed every spring in the bright orange and golden hues of "Mekachaa" (California Poppy) which has always been food, medicine, and magic for the indigenous peoples residing there. A perennial reminder of what it means to be resilient. Inspired by all those touched by the 2025 Eaton Canyon/Palisades wildfires, and dedicated to all those still in the recovery process of them.
